Photos provide a permanent memory of the baby shower party.
Consider providing a disposable camera between every 5 guests.
Photos must be taken during the baby shower party, and it's also a good idea to have photos taken with the mother-to-be with individual guests and groups.
Children can often take photos that adults might not, so if children are present let them take some. You can edit the unwanted later.
Consider selecting the very best photos and having a photo book created. (Many resources are available for creating photo books, but if you're having trouble go to your local Officeworks store.)
Organize a guest to make a list of the gifts and the guests that gave them.
This will be of great assistance to the mother-to-be in writing her Thank You notes or cards.
[We've included a 'Gift Register' form to make this easier. See our 'Planners' page to download.]
As the hostess you might consider an 'Advice Journal' for first-time mothers-to-be.
This 'journal' would contain advice from other mothers who attend your baby shower party and can make a great gift to the mother-to-be at the conclusion of your baby shower party.
If you opt for this journal, it is recommended that you let your invited guests know of it in advance on the invitation thereby giving them time to consider their advice
