Host's responsibilities
As the hostess your most important responsibility is to create an event that the mother-to-be will feel comfortable with.
You will need to discuss your plans for the party with the mother-to-be, what date to hold it, who she would like to have invited, the theme and games you are intending
(unless you're planning a 'surprise' party. In this case it's best to ask someone close to the mother-to-be, her mother or sister for example, who they think should be invited), the food and refreshments, what time to hold the party and how long the party is expected to last
And remember, a party is only as good as the guests.
